Joshua* started writing music in 2001 but has been a talented singer his entire life. Joshua* hails from Chicago and has appeared in various stage performances like talent shows, musicals and plays, where he’s been able to further hone his musical skills. Influenced by “all the greats” some of which consist of Prince, Sting, Ella Fitzgerald, Donny Hathaway and Michael Jackson, Joshua* shines on his first recording project “A Soul Progressive”. His style of music is described as R&B with a Pop/Soul appeal and he definitely puts a lot of his own “soul” into each of his songs. Inspired and motivated by Life’s experiences as well as the experiences of others, Joshua* creates interesting and dynamic lyrics. He believes that “everyone has something that sets them apart, but some are too afraid at times to really shine true.” Since he is willing to take risks in his music and image, Joshua* doesn’t fit into the average musical artist mold. He has and continues to work with some of New York’s finest producers like Alcalyne, Grown Man Music, Chris Rob and AGONY and is set to release his next project entitled “STARDOM*” in Winter 2009.

Joshua* is a refreshing light to the music industry. He believes that there are so many groups who have the same sound and who are doing the same things musically but he knows that “the fans are hungry for something more than what they’ve been forced to eat and strives to create a platform for a more honest musical experience.

*W*hat does it take to be TALoNTED? Take a close look at New Jersey’s latest

hip-hop phenom and you’ll find the answer. With an honest and organic
approach to music, TALoNTED offers a fresh perspective to an undeniably
saturated industry.

Born the youngest of four to Nigerian parents in East Orange, New Jersey,
then moving to Newark, New Jersey, TALoNTED wrote his first rhyme at age
six.  His story of focus and ambition is powerful.  Through the
determination of his mother, TALoNTED and his family eventually moved to the
neighboring suburb of South Orange, New Jersey.  Some may say the move
resulted in the young man having a decent resume, with a B.S. from Wharton
and a J.D. from NYU.  Throughout the years he spent pursuing banging those
grades out, he NEVER ceased to keep his music movement afloat.  Performing
at a number of talent shows and colleges, including Temple, Drexel and NYU,
TALoNTED established himself as an up-and-coming artist whose passion and
aspirational flavor inspire listeners to think outside the box and explore
limitless possibilities.

TALoNTED’s music reveals the many facets of a person that just can’t be
boxed in or easily categorized.  He introduces us to the new rap hero
prototype. With hopes of his music touching the globe and representing, as
he puts it, “renaissance men and women,” hip hop has been introduced to
something new. Something daring.  Something special.
