BIO:

Angeline is a seasoned vocalist that has been singing since the age of six years old.  She grew up listening to the influences of Chaka Khan, Stephanie Mills, Whitney Houston, and Anita Baker.  Her vocal ability was later influenced by artists like Mariah Carey and Yolonda Adams.  Her skills include having a natural ear for multiple harmonies, melodic rifts, and she currently possesses a two and a half octave range.

Angeline started writing poems and lyrics by age eight.  She entered a contest in elementary school that inspired her to continue to perfect her passion for blending the words that were her intimate thoughts, with the melodies that floated in her head.  She later found her niche in writing ballads and mid-tempo pieces in the style of jazz, R&B, or Neo-Soul. In the past she has been featured on a few local hip-hop artists’ tracks to add some lyrical and vocal depth. Angeline began studio recording at the age of twelve, and over the years has worked on multiple singles with indie record labels.

Performing has become the ultimate experience for this petite songstress.  She performed at Aframfest in Norfolk, VA as part of a featured group in 2001, where she was the lead female voice in front of an all male group. The local performances during 2002 in North Carolina and Virginia, were a successful attempt to promote a project by Clearwater Recording. Angeline has also been a featured talent in 2005 at Jaivon’s cafe in Virginia Beach, VA at an event sponsored by Soundstage Recording Group. She has assisted other independent artists with backgrounds, and has been working on several projects with independent producers in VA and DC. She can be seen weekly as a featured artist of Romonta & Friends in Virginia Beach, VA at Mango’s Sports Bar.

In the future, Angeline would love to become a writer/arranger for the music industry.  She also dreams of one day releasing an album featuring her unique style for the world to experience.  For now, she is just happy to share GOD’s gift of music with whoever will listen.
