DJ BIO:

DJ has been writing songs since he can remember, but got a heavy dose of inspiration after seeing the late great Michael Jackson live in concert. DJ was only 6 at this time, but the seed was planted after that event. A dream was born within him, and as many children and adults alike did, he began mimicking every move and song of MJ’s. MJ’s music was not just an inspiration to DJ, but also was an escape from some of the turmoil going on within his family during his adolescent years.

Driven to not only be a successful artist and musician, DJ also wants to reach people around the world with his music on a deeper level as MJ did so well.

Now fully knowing the gifts he has been blessed with, DJ lives daily by the quote “Discover your uniqueness, then discipline yourself to develop it”. DJ works diligently to hone and master his gifts of writing, singing, and producing, as he well knows talent alone is never enough.

DJ is truly a student of the craft; studying different genres of music in order to create a versatile style of music he calls his own. With a quiet, humble, and professional demeanor, DJ carries himself with the firm desire to be a prominent new artist who brings an element of realness in his music.

The future in the eyes of DJ is limitless because of his stead fast work ethic, combined with the “gifts” he possesses. “The day you stop learning, is the day you stop growing”, is a phrase that gives DJ the passion to learn more about himself and his craft daily.

“I go hard with faith and determination, and at the top of the mountain I know greatness is waiting.”

First, we have the twins, Starr and Sha’tarr who are 17 years old and last, but not least we have Tasia who is 16 years old. The three sisters are from Brooklyn, NY, where they call the Coney Island section their home. Their mixture of R&B, with a touch of Hip-Hop blends smoothly with their gospel background. I am sure many would agree their sound is timeless. The ladies may be young by the industry’s standards, but they are very experienced. They have performed in many venues in New York City, like BET’S 106&PARK, HARLEM WEEK AT 135TH STREET, THE SUGAR BAR, BB KING’S, APOLLO, THE WINGATE FIELD AND BET’S BLAZE DA’ STAGE AT NEW YORK UNIVERSITY. Simplicity also performed throughout South Carolina and Texas. Starr, Sha’tarr and Tasia are inspired by all of the young artists of today, and have been influenced by the SUPREMES, ARETHA FRANKLIN, PATTI LABELLE, DESTINY’S CHILD, MARY J. BLIGE AND MARIAH CAREY to name a few. Their father, who is their manager, songwriter and biggest fan, has always been a major part of their career.

The concepts are above-grade and deep, yet hard and gritty like the streets. The LFL Project is a great representation of R.E.D.’s ability to form a well-balanced hip-hop group and infusing the synergy to an undisputed high!

Rashida Jolley

Coming fresh off her break through appearance on NBC’s hit show “America’s Got Talent,” Rashida Jolley is creating a new lane in the urban music landscape. She performed “Killing Me Softly” on the harp while singing and using the harp as a percussion instrument. The performance was received with a standing ovation. It is that kind of response she receives everytime she performs. Rashida Jolley is on a mission to make the harp an official instrument of Urban/Hip Hop Music.

Rashida Jolley, the singer, harpist and songwriter began singing lead in her church choir at age 7 and studying the harp at the DC Youth Orchestra at age 10. It was her mom’s idea to combine her singing with the harp. “The first song I learned was Stevie Wonder’s “If it Magic”.” It was then Rashida found her niche. She began writing songs on the harp and started performing across the country. She started being called “The Harp Girl.”

Her father, the late Noble Jolley Sr., was a renowned jazz guitarist and earned Howard University’s very first degree in Jazz Studies. He mentored Rashida and her siblings in Music. Rashida comes from a musical family. Her core production team includes her brother’s Nathan and Noble Jolley, Jr. who play Drums and Keyboards.

Rashida has represented The District of Columbia (Washington, DC) in the Miss America Pageant and opened for John Legend. Since the “America’s Got Talent” appearance, she has received rave reviews from fans, the media and prominent celebrities. Rashida recently performed at the 2009 Congressional Black Caucus weekend won the September 2009 “Faces in the Crowd” Showcase in New York co- sponsored by SRC/Universal Records. It was that showcase which led to recording artist to Chrisette Michele being signed. She also performed at the Ludacris Foundation Tribute Dinner in October 2009

Rashida is currently in the studio working on material for her debut album. She has teamed with Emmy Award winning mixer Charlie Jones’ new company Urban Melodic Entertainment for representation. In addition to her core production team she hopes to work with Kanye West, Dr. Dre., Rodney Jerkins, Alicia Keys, John Legend and Ne-Yo for her debut album. Current plans are to leak the debut single “Take it to the Bank” to radio the end of 2009 and formally release the first single in the first quarter of 2010.

hip-hop phenom and you’ll find the answer. With an honest and organic
approach to music, TALoNTED offers a fresh perspective to an undeniably
saturated industry.

Born the youngest of four to Nigerian parents in East Orange, New Jersey,
then moving to Newark, New Jersey, TALoNTED wrote his first rhyme at age
six. His story of focus and ambition is powerful. Through the
determination of his mother, TALoNTED and his family eventually moved to the
neighboring suburb of South Orange, New Jersey. Some may say the move
resulted in the young man having a decent resume, with a B.S. from Wharton
and a J.D. from NYU. Throughout the years he spent pursuing banging those
grades out, he NEVER ceased to keep his music movement afloat. Performing
at a number of talent shows and colleges, including Temple, Drexel and NYU,
TALoNTED established himself as an up-and-coming artist whose passion and
aspirational flavor inspire listeners to think outside the box and explore
limitless possibilities.

TALoNTED’s music reveals the many facets of a person that just can’t be
boxed in or easily categorized. He introduces us to the new rap hero
prototype. With hopes of his music touching the globe and representing, as
he puts it, “renaissance men and women,” hip hop has been introduced to
something new. Something daring. Something special.
