Showcase Experience

"The faces in the crowd showcase is the single best showcase that I have been a part of. Chalant and Reality stuck by their words from the jump and delivered on everything they promised. After we won the showcase we met with real A&R’s and got great feedback and advice. This showcase is a must for anyone who is serious about getting in the game."

"No disrespect to any other showcases that I’ve been a part of, but the Faces in the Crowd showcase is definitely the most professional and official showcase that I’ve performed at. Everything from the sound check, cordless mic’s, crispy system and crowd response was CRAZY. From the perspective of an artist, you cant ask for a better set up. Props to Chalant and the homey Reality.

"As the Director of Operations of an International Design and Branding Firm and as CEO of an Industry Management Firm, I come in contact with a lot of companies and a lot of people. However I have rarely seen the level of excellence portrayed and demonstrated by the team at Faces In The Crowd.

I feel I am qualified to state this as my relationship with Faces In The Crowd goes back to its inception at Babalu’s. Clearly they have come a long way since then however what has remained in tact is the people who operate it and the quality of showmanship that is demonstrated.

There are many Showcases that operate in NYC and many of them make many promises but few deliver. Faces in Crowd delivers. I have never experienced an incident where they did not deliver on what they promised which is why all these years later I am still involved in their events.

There is no fail proof formula for success in the music industry but if you are looking for access to what is important to you as an artist, a place to be seen and heard by the industry executives and fans, then the Faces In The Crowd showcase is a great place to start."

First and foremost, FITC showcases are necessities for NYC’s music scene. From personal experience as both “a face in the crowd” and participant as an act’s manager, it is apparent FITC does not only bring established acts and music industry professionals in the same room as up and coming talents, but also acts as a learning experience for all in attendance. From stage presence, song selection, crowd reaction, networking opportunities to judges’ comments, a “face in the crowd” will always leave the room with applicable knowledge to get to the next level. Being a strict, organized, and highly detailed individual, FITC was greatly ran, has a professional staff, and was well produced. This cannot be said about many other showcases and, thus, needs to be praised. If you are an up-coming act who is serious about getting to the next level, a manager/producer, or simply a music industry hopeful, FITC is a must stop, over and over again. But remember, come hard, correct and with passion, which maintains the standards of FITC.

“From an aritst’s perspective, every artist should experience The Faces
Showcase. It not only gives you the experience of performing in front of
A&Rs and music executives, but it also gives you the opportunity to network
amongst other serious upcoming musicians and artists. The showcase is
designed in such a way that it gives an artists a nuturing and positive
environment to bring their craft and their best performance to the stage.
Not only do you feel rewarded, but it gives an artist that step forward to
further their professionalism, career, craft, and network.”

LALA - Artist

Faces In The Crowd is one of the best independent artist showcases in NYC. I dig the way every artist get treated like a star especially with the lighting (fat shouts to the lighting dude, he had my set looking ill lol) without rehearsal either. Fat shouts to Chalant & Reality for still believing in the “Come Up” & providing artist like myself with a platform to express our creativity.

FITC is a steeping bridge to the next level in a new artists career. Their prize package provides the exposure one needs to get recognized in the game. Its all about how you play that hand after its dealt. Reality and Chalant are extremely professional and on point. It was a pleasure being apart of this showcase.
